Reports and templates

A template defines the questions and steps for a report. A report is a filled-in submission against a template: questions, photos, dates, and sometimes a signature.

Why it matters

Templates standardize what stores capture. Reports feed dashboards, scoring, and the gallery when media is included. Many tasks cannot be considered finished until the linked report is submitted.

How it works

  • Administrators manage templates under Admin → Templates (Create New Template).
  • In a project, open Reports. On web you can start a report with Create a Report.
  • Report statuses are Not started, In Progress, and Submitted.
  • Web report views include tabs labeled individual, combined, and logged.
  • Question rows may show To do until you answer them. Some questions are required; others can be marked Not applicable.
  • Tasks can require you to submit specific reports before completing an assignment.
  • If you have permission, you can share a submitted report, or unsubmit or delete one that is still editable.
